Chinese Characters


Basic Strokes

The Chinese characters, the written symbols ofthe Chinese language, are, in general, constituted of several parts. Each part of a Chinese character is called a "component of the Chinese character" (some components are also characters when they stand by themselves). The components of Chinese are composed of a number of basic strokes.
