Activities designed to focus on the essential elements of basic communication and develop all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), as well as provide insight into the life and culture of Chinese-speaking countries and areas.
The goals of this section are the development of the student's vocabulary; comprehension, expression and pronunciation of spoken and written Chinese; mastery of basic structures of Chinese; and a basic grasp of the cultures of the Chinese-speaking world.
