Taught by Sensei Thomas L. Buck who holds the rankings of San-dan (3rd degree BB) in Goju-ryu, and Ichi-dan (1st degree BB) in Omori-ryu.

Goju-ryu Okinawan karate has become one of the most popular martial arts in the world. In addition to the obvious benefits such as self-defense and exercise, it truly offers an opportunity to meet new people and discover a whole new culture.

• Uses defensive and aggressive moves
• Centers on building strength and endurance
• Involves chops, punches, kicks, strikes, blocking and sparring

Omori-ryu Japanese iai-do (ee-eye-doe), a derivative of Japanese Kenjutsu (swordsmanship techniques), is the study of drawing the sword, cutting, and returning it to its scabbard, all with a minimum of exertion.

• Non-combative
• Aid to self-discipline and coordination
• Focuses on Zanshin, or mental and physical alertness, especially after completing an attack.
