This activity group is intended to introduce students to the basic ingredients of East Asian cultures through lectures, discussions, videos, films, and reading materials. It is hoped that students will not only acquire a better understanding of these East Asian cultures, but will also come to see their own culture in a new light. Among the principal topics to be covered are History and Culture, Religion and Aesthetics, Martial Arts, and Mandarin
